The film is a documentary following Sonic Youth on tour in the UK along with Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr, Babes in Toyland, Gumball and The Ramones.

An added bonus for those lucky enough to make it out to a show is a free 7″ or digital download with an interview and two songs that were recording live in the studio for Pitchfork.tv. A new track titled “I Don’t Wanna Go There” and the classic track “Tarpit”.
The new album will be released on the Jagjaguwar label.

What is me.dium? – It’s a web browser add-on that allows you to see where your friends are online in real time, so you can surf the web together and chat about it.

RockMe. is an online music festival that is hosted by Rose Hill Drive and features The Willowz, The Jeffrey Lewis Band, Gosling and The Fiery Furnaces. J is hosting the Rock Legends segment at noon (EST) on Saturday Sept 22. During that time, users can log on to Me.dium and basically follow J around the web. He’ll go to websites that he thinks are interesting and wants to share with fans. J Mascis is unable to attend the RockMe. session tomorrow due to family matters, but Lou Barlow will be surfing the net with you at Noon EST/9am PST tomorrow! There is a chat function so everyone can talk about what they’re seeing.

If you are already signed up for me.dium, go and click on the friends tab and click ‘add’ and type in J_Mascis. This will send a request to be J’s friend.
