{mosimage}Dinosaur Jr. will perform at the base of Aspen Mountain on Thursday, January 24 at 5:30 p.m. This FREE Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert will ramp up the energy as ESPN Winter X Games 12 rolls into Aspen/Snowmass Jan. 24-27.
Dinosaur Jr. emerged onto the alternative rock scene in the late 80s/early 90s, releasing songs like “Freak Scene,” “Feel the Pain,” and “Just like Heaven”. With well-known peers including The Pixies, Sonic Youth and Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr. is known as a frontrunner in the alternative and indie rock genres that exist today.
In 2007 the band released Beyond, Dinosaur Jr.’s first album in a decade, with the original lineup of guitarist J Mascis, bassist Lou Barlow and drummer Murph.
“This is a perfect act to feature at our Bud Light Hi-Fi concert during Winter X Games,” says Deric Gunshor, Aspen Skiing Company Senior Event Marketing Manager. “Dinosaur Jr. is going to blow everyone away and get town rocking to start the biggest weekend of the year.”
